Released Horodruin 2026.2.836.0

This update introduces changes to the installation process and some important considerations for users.

New Installation Modes

The installer now supports two operation modes:

  • Private mode (default): Installs the application in the current user’s profile space without requiring elevated permissions. The program will only be available to the current user.
  • Shared mode: Requires administrator privileges and installs a shared instance accessible to all users on the system. To use this mode, right-click the installer and select “Run as administrator.”

The program doesn’t need MS Visual C runtime package anymore.

32-bit Version No Longer Supported

Beginning with this release, the 32-bit version is no longer supported. Users must run the 64-bit version on compatible systems.

Portable Version No Longer Supported

Beginning with this release, the portable version is no longer distributed. Users can install the program in private mode.

.INI settings is no longer used

All configuration settings are stored in the registry user hive.  On request, the program uninstaller will remove them.

  • improved ‘source’ parameters UI.
  • improved analysis and copy engines.
  • fixed a rare indexing file/folder indexing problem.
  • improved internal log library.
  • file explorer right-click menu items are now grouped in a dedicated submenu.
